Admissions Procedure

All parents will be treated with courtesy and girls will be admitted as soon as possible.

  1. All applications from the Learning Trust are sent directly to admissions officer

  2. Admissions officer will request information from previous schools. (if necessary). Interview will be arranged with DoL/EMAG

  3. Within the following 10 working days, the applicant will receive either a letter inviting them in for an interview, or a letter stating that they are on the waiting list and will be contacted when a place becomes vacant. If a place is not offered immediately, they may re-contact the LEA.

  4. Girls will be placed in their chronological year group.

  5. At the interview the following will be done:

    • The school’s admission form and the home school agreement form will be completed
    • Students will be assigned to a form
    • in the upper school, students will be given an individual subject time-table

  6. The EMAG Manager and SENCO will liaise with the DOL.

  7. Applications for 16-19 places will be dealt with by the head of the Sixth Form. Following an interview, students will be given an appropriate course of study.

A separate admissions procedure exists for pupils transferring from primary school
